  • "In 2024, every public school in El Salvador will introduce Bitcoin education."
  • In an interview with Cointelegraph, John Dennehy, the founder of Mi Primer Bitcoin, confirmed the announcement and said training for the pilot program begins on Sept. 7 with assistance from Bitcoin Beach.
"The Bitcoin diploma program will be taught to 150 public school teachers from 75 schools to provide them with a “base knowledge” of Bitcoin."
  • Dennehy added that after the initial training, the teachers will return to their own schools and teach from the curriculum created by the Ministry of Education.
  • “If successful,” he said, “the program will be rolled out to every school in the country next year.”
"Together with @EducacionSV and @Bitcoinbeach, we're writing history by bringing Bitcoin education to public schools in 2024," said Mi Primer Bitcoin on X.
