IBEX Pay Suspends Services in the United States

IBEX Pay, a Lightning payment processor, is pulling out of the United States following a period of intensified regulatory scrutiny and uncertainty in the country. Users are urged to arrange for their outstanding balances to be transferred by May 31st.

  • "After careful consideration it has been decided that effective 31st of May 2024, all IBEX Pay services in the USA will be suspended. Thank you for the support you have given us and we hope to serve you in the future," announced IBEX Pay.
"This was not an easy decision to make, but after careful consideration in light of recent events, we have concluded that this is the most appropriate choice for the current circumstances. A big thank you to all our US customers for using our IBEX Pay product and to Swan for being an incredible partner. We have loved working for and with you," said CEO Jose Lemus.
  • "IBEX Pay continues to operate in all other locations and our IBEX HUB service will continue to operate globally," he added.
